Graphic Designers Research: Joshua Davis


  • Joshua Davis was born in 1971, now age 43. 
  • He's an American Designer, technologist, artist and author in media. 
  • He's has a 19 career as an image maker using programming and writing his own code.
  • One of the early designer of the web, one of the most influential.
  • He also now talks at Universities.




  • He doesn't really like Praystation, although the most known, it's just a catalogue random works
  • He is best known for pray station.com.
  • Which he won Prix Ars Electronica prize, electronic and interactive art computer animation. (2001) for the 'Net Vision'.






  • He’s also created a forum dreamless.org, a forum for graphic designers to post their work and have ‘photoshop battles’ 
  • Exhibited his work at the Tate Modern and the Institute of Contemporary Arts.

  • He used to use Flash but converted to Java so as it allowed him to do more.
  • He doesn't plan work, he just sits down and explores ideas, no before hand sketches.
